I can connect my device but it doesn’t record or send data to the app.
I purchased the device as a personal memory aid because of a few health issues. I immediately set up my Gemini API, but somehow I still reached a limit. I believe this happened because the device is frequently disconnecting and the offline recordings are not being processed through Gemini. This has also caused me to receive a personal use warning and be throttled. All this occurred in under a week. I disconnected the device from my phone while I investigated the issue and now I have even more offline recordings. I don’t see any way to stop them from being processed and I’m really concerned I’m going to end up banned for misuse. How can I route the current backlog to the correct location and how can I prevent this in the future? I’m really unsure how I’m supposed to use the device without holding my phone in my hand all day, which defeats the purpose entirely.
If it is difficult to “skip silence” on the device, there should be the function in the app (perhaps manual). It would then scrub silence, bind a few snippets together, and make it better chance to be not refused as a conversation. I set the minimum conversation length to 4m, which does not really help
I opened up my new device (2nd one owned) to get it set up for my wife Inside found a golden ticket. The QR code took us to a YouTube video; but the “faq” link just cycled back to the same video. Is this still in affect? How do we redeem the $100? Is there a certain social media platform we should be posting on? HonestlyI've been extremely happy with the device (except the plastic pendant cover let's it slide out way too easily) and would happily recommend to anyone. Thank you!
I just wanted to let you know that I am testing Omi against Fieldy and Pocket. So far here is what I am finding. The desktop and usefulness of the Omi is hands down the best of the 3. I find it highly capable and use it daily. Where Omi gets beat, however, is transcription. Fieldy does an excellent job of word for word transcribing conversation and even recognizes the difference in things like music, a dog barking, water running. Voice profiles is a weak area in Omi as it often creates a voice profile and labels it with words that are not names- ‘the’, ‘what’, ‘she’ that I have to clear out. Battery life is another place whre Omi is not so great. I get 2 or 3 days out of my Fieldy, 3 or 4 out of Pocket but barely a full day out of Omi. Then I cannot charge it unless the device is on and listening so all night it sits there recording my snoring and then I have multiple audio files for no reason, lol. I will continue to test but so far I really do prefer Omi over the others- just wish it did a better job in a few areas is all.
Hi Omi Team, I’ve been actively using Omi every day for over a week for my technical installations and work organisation. The app is successfully generating transcriptions, summaries, tasks, and storing memories in my profile. However, the Mind Map (Knowledge Graph) is still completely empty. Whenever I go to Profile > Memories and tap the brain icon in the top right corner, it continuously shows the message: "Your mind map will be created automatically when you create new memories." Could you please clarify how the Mind Map generation logic works? Is there a specific threshold or number of memories required before the map appears? Does language play a role (my recordings are mostly in Slovak)? Is there any way to manually trigger or re-index the map generation for existing memories? Thanks for your support! Best regards, Lukáš
Hello Omi team, I matched and chatted with someone on Omi yesterday. However, today his profile and our conversation suddenly disappeared from my account. I would like to know what happened. I purchased the Omi wearable (hasn’t arrived yet). The help center says the free plan includes 1,200 listening minutes and Unlimited costs $19/month. https://help.omi.me/en/articles/12058411-understanding-omi-subscriptions However, the app shows only 600 premium minutes and offers an Operator plan for $40/month.
