Conversation screen search should index full transcripts, not just summaries

I am looking for a way to simply view and search the raw transcript in the app (tried Android and Mac). I see the search bar says "Search Transcript or Summary" but as far as I can tell it only searches the summary. And if I want to get the actual context from a result in the transcript, I want to view that search term in the transcript. But I can't find a way to do this. I can only see how to copy the transcript, but not view it.

My workaround yesterday was to copy the transcript, paste it into a text editor and use the search function in the text editor to find the part I wanted to review. This is clunky, of course.

Would like a way to see and search the transcript in app.

Hi, currently this isn’t possible because we store transcripts in encrypted form, which means even we can’t read them. The only way to enable searching across transcripts would be to store them unencrypted, which would defeat the purpose of encrypting data at rest. As Hugo mentioned, the current workaround is to search within a transcript, since this happens locally on the device where the transcript is decrypted and visible to you.

    Unable to search conversations

When I search my past conversations even with a subject line keyword, there is always no results found. Please make the search function usable.

    Hello, thanks for reaching out.

For now, the best workaround is to open a conversation, tap Transcripts, and search from there.

And totally agree, search from the Conversation screen should index full transcripts, not just summaries. I’ve passed your suggestion to our developers so we can improve that.
