Search everything

I am a bit disillusioned as my expectations were pretty high, as compared with my Limitless.ai experience (which I'm now frantically trying to replace). Although the Omi pendant seems to be doing the job capturing audio and content, the SEARCHES leave a lot to be desired. Yesterday I had a number of examples where I mentioned specific names, with actions that were taken, even spelling out the names. Later I tried to search for those names and system simply could not find. Later, going conversation by conversation I did find what I was looking for. The names, and the context of the actions were there, but SEARCHING failed miserably. I need to rely on SEARCHES! Imagine I want to search something like...."last month I spoke to Delta Airlines about a refund for canceled flight to London" and it can't find it.... Makes the whole thing come crashing down. I'm very concerned now as to whether I get behind this or look for other solutions....If it's capturing EVERYTHING, then EVERYTHING should be searchable and retrievable. That's why I'm here!!

Same thing for me just with my first call i actually needed to record and for the use case I got this for (client meetings) and after verifying it was listening , app open etc and then starting the call it still didn’t transcribe ANY of it . Plan to do a review of this online and compare to other wearables or stationary devices with similar functionality

I'll second this. Picked this up with much higher expectations, but am willing to wait for the noted additional integrations and capabilities. Now it's spamming me to pay 20 bucks per month for fairly lukewarm existing capability. The promise of this is at least somewhat exciting, and I understand funding, but until I get better search, more capability to split and correct detected voice, identify irrelevant text, and more stable connectivity, it's cool, but not yet worth the initial cost plus another 20 a month to me. I fear that if current functionally is nerfed if I don't ante up, I'll retire it in my “promising technology“ box, and hopefully don't forget about it.

I’ve had good results from merging all my transcripts, which are on google drive, and uploading them to plain old ChatGPT, every day (which I’ll automate as soon as I can get around to it). I’ve had a long conversation with it in which we discussed how it keeps the data, how I expect to be able to use it, and so on. It’s basically a pseudo-database of my possessions, which I update by talking to my Pendant whenever I move one of them. Then I can interrogate it when I’ve lost something and it tells me the last place I saw it.

    I lose things a LOT.

It’s far from foolproof, but it’s much better than the OMI system.

I don’t often do HATE but there is a special place in my personal hell for Limitless. The way they switched off UK service with ZERO NOTICE made me want to shoot them into the sun. Assholes.

Conversation screen search should index full transcripts, not just summaries

I am looking for a way to simply view and search the raw transcript in the app (tried Android and Mac). I see the search bar says "Search Transcript or Summary" but as far as I can tell it only searches the summary. And if I want to get the actual context from a result in the transcript, I want to view that search term in the transcript. But I can't find a way to do this. I can only see how to copy the transcript, but not view it.

My workaround yesterday was to copy the transcript, paste it into a text editor and use the search function in the text editor to find the part I wanted to review. This is clunky, of course.

Would like a way to see and search the transcript in app.

      Hello, thanks for reaching out.

For now, the best workaround is to open a conversation, tap Transcripts, and search from there.

And totally agree, search from the Conversation screen should index full transcripts, not just summaries. I’ve passed your suggestion to our developers so we can improve that.

Hi, currently this isn’t possible because we store transcripts in encrypted form, which means even we can’t read them. The only way to enable searching across transcripts would be to store them unencrypted, which would defeat the purpose of encrypting data at rest. As Hugo mentioned, the current workaround is to search within a transcript, since this happens locally on the device where the transcript is decrypted and visible to you.

Thank you for your feedback! We're actively enhancing our search capabilities, and an updated system is on the way. We appreciate your continued input.
