Pause Recording (BUG)

Bug: Omi Pendant “forgets” recording paused state upon Bluetooth connection loss to phone and app.

Device: Omi Pendant CV1 (current consumer pendant sold on the website as of 23rd Feb 2026).

Steps to reproduce:

1. Pendant is connected to my phone andthe app and recording.

2. I pause recording (either by double‑clicking the pendant or tapping the mute/pause icon in the app). The app clearly shows recording as paused.

3. I leave Bluetooth range (LED turns Red) so the pendant disconnects from my phone.

4. While disconnected, the pendant starts recording again (a new conversation appears in the app later for this period).

5. When I come back into Bluetooth range (LED turns Blue), the pendant reconnects and the app shows it as paused again.

This means Omi records my conversations while it’s supposedly “paused” whenever I walk out of Bluetooth range, then looks paused again when I return.

That breaks the expectation that pause/mute is a reliable privacy boundary.

Is this a known issue, and is there a plan to make pause/mute persist even when the pendant disconnects from the phone?
