Omi as background service

When you close the Omi app, the service stops working. I would like there to be an option where you can physically close the app while Omi continues running in the background. Right now, when I clear all my open apps, Omi also stops working. Sometimes I realize too late that I accidentally did this, and then I miss important information that Omi should have recorded for me.
