As a user, I’m frequently seeing push notifications in the iOS TestFlight build with the message to “Shorten” a transcription or memory. However, when I tap the notification, it just opens the app with no clear indication of:
What exactly needs to be shortened,
Why it should be shortened,
Or how to take action.
This creates confusion and reduces usability — especially for new users who may not know what “shorten” refers to.
🔧 Proposal
Please improve the “Shorten” notification logic and user flow with the following enhancements:
When user taps the “Shorten” notification, open the specific memory/transcription that triggered it.
Visually highlight or tag the item that needs shortening.
Add a reason (e.g. “Too long for summary engine”, “May be trimmed for better results”, etc.)
Add options to:
✂️ Trim the transcript manually
📝 Edit it
🗑️ Delete part of it if needed
Add a quick tooltip or info modal to explain what “shorten” means and why it’s suggested.
Better clarity for users
Improved UX around data cleanup
Encourages better transcript hygiene
Easier debugging and fewer support questions
