If I turn off recording why doesn’t it stay off? (L. Pendant)

Admin edit: TL;DR: When I stop recording in Omi, it sometimes starts recording again by itself after a brief phone disconnect (Bluetooth drop). When it reconnects, it resumes recording without me turning it back on, creating unwanted transcripts (TV/news/arguments) that I have to delete. Expected behavior: if I stop recording, it should stay off until I manually start it again.

I was just searching for an answer to my problem and came across a post on Reddit from an Omi employee that contradicts my experience

I found Omi after being one of the people that Limitless cut off. With the Limitless app if I stopped recording the that was it. I could sit down and watch TV for example. With the Omi app I stop recording. But the next time I check the app I have to delete entire transcripts of the news or some TV program. It’s even more annoying when there’s a fight or an argument in a TV show the AI gives me advice about managing my anger.

What seems to be happening is that the device will switch back to recording if it loses contact with my phone for example when I got in the kitchen with my device on charge and my phone in my pocket. When it reconnects it starts recording again. This isn’t expected behaviour. If I turn any device off I expect it to start off.
