The watch band accessory exists but doesn't sit cleanly — it's a band within a band, which is awkward and draws questions. A dedicated watch form factor would be a much better daily driver.
What I'm imagining:
- Standalone wearable with a simple watch face (time, battery, connection status)
- Omi's mic array and processing built into a watch-sized enclosure
- Always on your wrist, always listening, no clip or necklace
- Natural and invisible — nobody asks "what's that thing on your wrist" about a watch
Why it matters: The biggest barrier to daily Omi use isn't the tech — it's social friction. A necklace or clip invites questions. A watch is invisible. For people who want Omi to be ambient and always-present (which is the whole point), the form factor matters as much as the software.
I'd wear an Omi watch every day. The current form factors are fine for demos and development but the watch is the endgame for daily use.
