Bee Auto-Starts Recording after Reconnect (screen timeout) - Burns Transcription Minutes

Hi Omi team — I’m using a Bee device connected to Omi and running into an issue that’s consuming transcription minutes unnecessarily.

Problem:
When my phone screen times out and I briefly check a text or answer a call, the app reconnects to Bee (BLE reconnect), Bee starts recording automatically without me pressing the start/stop record button.

Impact:
This happens many times per day and quickly burns through my Free-plan transcription minutes. Omi is now prompting me to upgrade to Unlimited, even though my normal usage would fit in the Free plan.

Current workaround:
I manually press the Bee button to stop/pause, but it’s easy to forget when I’m just quickly checking my phone.

Request:
Can you add a setting like “Don’t auto-start recording on reconnect” (only start recording on button press / explicit user action), or change the default behavior so reconnect does not trigger recording?

I am using Bee firmware version 1.0.0 with the current version of Omi.
