Problem:
Auto create speakers is turned off but the system is still generating new speaker contacts anyway. Manually deleting them doesn't help because they just keep coming back. The names being created make no sense: things like "It," "You," "Them," and then names like "Shirley" and "Neely" that are almost certainly characters from media being picked up as real speakers.
Impact:
The toggle does nothing. Users who have turned this off have done so intentionally and the setting should be respected. Having to manually delete junk contacts repeatedly is a frustrating waste of time, and the contacts being created are so low quality they're actively polluting the speaker list. Pronouns are not people and TV characters are not people I talk to.
Request:
Fix the auto create speakers toggle so that turning it off actually disables the feature. No new speaker profiles should be generated when this setting is off, period. As a secondary fix, improve the speaker detection logic so it isn't pulling names from media audio or creating contacts out of pronouns and generic words regardless of toggle state.
