Add "Media" as a Speaker Type for Passive Audio

Problem:

When Omi picks up audio from TV, podcasts, videos, or other media, it assigns that content to a speaker as if it were a real person. There's no way to tell the system it's just background media.

Current Workaround:

  • Using my custom summary app to detect and exclude media consumption from my summaries.

  • Manually re-assigning any misattributed speech segments to a fictitious speaker “Media” and reprocessing conversations.

Impact:

The current workaround is time intensive. Media consumption skews memory, tasks, and summaries with irrelevant data.

Request:

Add a built in "Media" (or something similar) speaker type. Inside the speaker list popup (see related ticket: Show Full Speaker List When Opening a Conversation), users should be able to assign segments to Media so the system knows to treat that content differently and exclude it from personal context, tasks, and summaries.
